My intention is to enrich your appreciation for the natural world. I aim to reveal the profound role it plays in our lives and inspire a sense of reason in preserving it, so that your desire to travel is rooted in a meaningful purpose.

TRAVEL PLANNING
From road transfers, internal flights, lodges and budgets, to wildlife viewing and best travel seasons, we will advise and take care of every logistical arrangement necessary, from the moment you step off your flight that landed on African soil, until the door closes behind you for the flight that takes you home.

PRIVATE GUIDING
There is one key element that can make or break your safari, and that is the guide you have allocated to you for your stay. Do not roll the dice on who you get as a guide at a lodge after spending so much money and having traveled so far. Rather invest in quality assurance with a private guide.

SAFARI GUIDE OF THE YEAR
As the founder and creator of the Safari Guide of the Year (SGOTY), it is undoubtably one of the projects that I am most proud of.
Powered by – and partnered with the Field Guides associations of South Africa (FGASA) – it has woven many threads of comradery and lifted the professional standards of guiding within the safari industry, bonding it closer than ever before. I invite you to come and be a part of this prestigious event (that is uplifting the importance and standards of guiding within the safari industry) by being a guest at the event. It is the perfect combination to do with a safari if you are looking for something different during your travels.

PUBLIC ENGAGEMENTS
Perspective, purpose, peace and natural providence are some of the fundamental foundations of my presentations. One of the dying arts of our times is storytelling, and my hope is not only to educate, inspire, entertain and uplift upon this medium of the old, but to keep it alive.
Allow me the opportunity to warm the hearts, and fill the imagination of anyone that hungers for it.

GALLERY
Photography is a form of art, and art is very subjective, therefore, these images are merely illustrations of my attempt to show the world how I see our wildlife through my eyes. Enjoy the individual moments, however, if there are any of these images that you would like in your home, let me know.

I’ve just returned from my 4th safari with Mike Karantonis – the magic of Africa always appears with Mike – he is kind, unbelievably knowledgeable about the bush, thoughtful, and has as one of his primary objectives is making you feel safe at all times – Africa cannot be explained in a photo – you must go and feel the bush – a trip with Mike will make your safari exponentially better!
My wife and I are already thinking about our next trip! I urge anyone who is on the fence to go – Africa is life-changing and life-affirming and getting to know Mike will make your world a better place.

We have been traveling to Africa since 2009 and have been on a dozen trips with Mike which have included South Africa, Tanzania, Botswana, Namibia, Kenya, Zambia, and Ethiopia. He is the most knowledgeable person you will ever meet when it comes to the bush, animals, and birds. His soul is as deep as his knowledge. He brings the trip to a whole different level.
During the day he keeps you safe and will introduce you to a whole new world. Watching him track the elusive animals is an art form. At night he will keep you on the edge of your seat with his life experiences in the bush. It is an honor to have someone like him by your side and a guaranteed unforgettable life experience. I can not ever imagine a trip to Africa without him.

While visiting South Africa, we were fortunate to have Mike Karantonis as our safari guide. Due to Mike having lived and worked in various African countries, his knowledge of African wildlife, landscape, and culture are vast. He speaks in such an eloquent, poetic manner while viewing the animals, it makes it a beautiful experience.
Mike has an uncanny way of tracking and finding animals, that is an adventure to witness! On our 3-day safari, we literally saw all the different animals we wanted, and more. Mike, saw to our every need and desire along the way. He is also very personable and fun to spend your time with while traveling the African bush. We will most definitely select Mike for our next African adventure.
